Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. celebrates its 40th Anniversary! 

Since the business was first founded (by Jules Pollack) in 1973, the company has grown to become an award-winning, leading world-wide manufacturer and wholesaler of balloons, balloon accessories, and party supplies. 

In the 1970's, Jules Pollack developed the company's first product - the E-Z Safety Seal Valve (used to quickly and easily seal helium-filled latex balloons). This innovative self-sealing balloon valve (used in conjunction with latex balloons) continues to be used by leading restaurant and realty chains around the world. To inflate E-Z Safety Seal Valved Balloons, Suzy Goodman-Pollack (Product Designer / Inventor) designed and created Balloon Inflating Characters in the likeness of nationally-recognized, trademarked characters.  

In the 1980's, Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. expanded it's line by producing other top quality balloon accessories (including E-Z Balloon Discs, E-Z Balloon Ties, and E-Z Balloon Cups 'n Sticks), to make people's lives easier. 

In the 1990's, California Law stipulated that helium-filled balloons must be tethered. In response, Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. produced it's renowned Happy Weight (balloon weight) line; including a range of vibrant colors, shapes, and sizes. 

In the Millennium, Suzy Goodman-Pollack designed and produced the company's unique and patented Happy Clip, Bubble Weight, Cube Weight, and LogoWeight (used for advertising and promotional purposes); and Jules Pollack introduced a new version of the E-Z Safety Seal Valve called the "Big Barrel" E-Z Safety Seal Valve. This design-patented balloon valve works in conjunction with nearly all helium balloon inflators.

The company's user-friendly and child-safe balloon accessories are used globally by ad agencies, supermarkets, florists, balloon decorators, and party stores.

Seal A Latex Balloon The E-Z Way

A top quality balloon accessory that has been manufactured by Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. for decades is the E-Z Balloon Disc™ (a balloon tying disc), which was created with the purpose of being the easy way to tie balloons. 

This small, plastic balloon accessory produced by Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. is a flat, circular disc that features a groove and miniature slits to easily enable people to seal a latex balloon that is inflated with air or helium. The neck of the latex balloon is wrapped around the disc and tucked into the slits. This fast and easy method securely seals the air or helium in the balloon, and is especially quick and convenient since no knot needs to be hand-tied in the neck of the balloon. By using this balloon disc, the air or helium inside the latex balloon stays put. It's that simple!

Suzy Goodman-Pollack, EVP of Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc., remarks, "Anyone who has inflated latex balloons with air or helium knows that the inflation process is only step one. After the balloon is inflated, you get to show off your talent in trying to tie off the balloon, so the air or helium doesn't escape. If the air or helium seeps out, you end up with a miniature, deflated version of the balloon you inflated. At that point, you can go back to step one and re-inflate the balloon, or you can accept the fact that now you have a mini balloon."

The E-Z Balloon Disc™ solves the problem of sealing the air or helium inside of the latex balloon. This balloon tying disc is manufactured in standard white, which coordinates with all color latex balloons.

That's the technical term for 'rough edges'. A rouge edge on a disc can cut into the latex and tear the delicate balloon. Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. Awarded Design Patent For “Big Barrel” E-Z Safety Seal Balloon Valve

The U.S. Department of Patents & Trademarks has issued Design Patent # D657,002 S (on April 3, 2012) to Creative Balloons Mfg. Inc. (Carmel, CA.) for its new “Big Barrel” E-Z Safety Seal® Balloon Valve.

Jules Pollack, the company’s President and Founder, is the inventor of the “Big Barrel” Valve that makes it possible for just about anybody to inflate, seal and string a helium filled balloon in seconds. Suzy Goodman-Pollack, Product Designer, contributed to the concept, as did Reagan Pollack, the company’s National Sales Manager.

Jules states, “Our Big Barrel Valve meets CE and U.S. Safety Standards and is compatible with most helium balloon inflators. We’ve now made it possible for businesses and consumers alike to utilize the inflator(s) they have purchased previously.”

The Creative Balloon valve, with satin ribbon, eliminates the hand-tying and stringing normally associated with latex balloons inflated with helium. The valve is available in case quantity as a separate accessory item, or attached to latex balloons (plain and printed).
